Differences Between Tretinoin Gel & Cream?
The two products are essentially the same, except that one is in a gel form, while the other is a cream. Some people prefer the gel because they believe that it can be absorbed into the skin much easier than the cream.
How to Use Tretinoin Cream / Gel?
To use the cream it is best to apply it to the affected area of the face, daily before you go to sleep. Before applying the tretinoin cream, you should clean and dry your face properly. Once this is done, you should then place a pea sized amount of cream to be applied to the face. You should also wash your hands after you are finished. Do not use more than the prescribed amount of tretinoin gel. This will not speed up the results and it can have an adverse effect on the face. It is recommended that you use a facial moisturizer that will not irritate your acne and contains a sunscreen (at least SPF 15) every morning after you wash your face and apply the topical tretinoin.
